The community of Saint Romain has a primary school which is part of an Intercommunal School Grouping (Regroupement Pédagogique Intercommunal). This grouping associates the schools of the communities of La Rochpot and of Baubigny – Orches – Evelles as follows :
Evelles assures the three pre-school levels.
La Rochepot takes care of the first, second and third primary school classes.
Saint Romain provides tuition for the children attending the fourth and fifth class.

A school transport system connects the different villages in the morning, at noon and in the evening.
A canteen is available at noon, and may be used daily or on a weekly basis.
